Guy M. Land
A native Texan, born and raised in the suburbs of Houston, I became fascinated with home design in high school after taking a General Drafting course as an elective. I became so enamored with it that I bought myself a drafting table and started spending evenings just designing and drafting my own creations. As it turns out, one of the country's most important and prestigious home designers had offices right around the corner. I was fortunate to get hired on with Larry W. Garnett & Associates in the fall of 1983 and from there a fantastic friendship began. Larry recognized my desire and abilities in design and I quickly became his protege. Throughout college I continued working for Larry until the offer was made and I accepted my full time career with him. For 8 years I honed my abilities and learned the art of home design from him. In 1992 it was my time and with his blessing I went out on my own and started this firm.
From the initial meetings to discuss your new home, throughout the creative process and further into development and delivery of the final working drawings, I am involved in every step of every home that comes out of this office. Ensuring that the vision and details are translated and delivered to the construction site via our collaboration as designer/client.
When I'm not working you can usually find me on the golf course with my son or watching my daughter cheer with my beautiful wife (who also happens to be one of the top realtors in the area) of 24 years. We are members of the Church at West Franklin, a campus of Brentwood Baptist Church and love being active in our community.
"Guy is not only an amazing designer but also a great friend. I live a very busy life with touring, recording and acting my time is very limited. Having a designer that is accommodating to my schedule and knows how to interpret my needs was comforting. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to design a home."
